The artistic owner has made a comeback, and in response to fan anticipation, the cafe has settled on the second floor of the Chiayi Cultural and Creative Park "Hardware Warehouse," exuding the mature charm cultivated over ten years. The Hardware Warehouse, built in 1930, was once the tallest building in Chiayi City and is currently registered as a city-designated historic site. To present a deep color and texture reminiscent of classical oil paintings, the designer adjusted the colors multiple times under different lighting until satisfied. When the afternoon sun shines through the flat windows, the light and shadow on the red walls resemble the shimmering Bordeaux red wine, making it a contender for the "most beautiful" winery cafe in Taiwan! In recent years, King Butterfly Cafe has invested in more professional roasting upgrades, sourcing coffee beans not only from major producing areas around the world but also featuring a small quantity of Alishan coffee. The head owner, Mr. Wu, is a photographer by trade and one of the most professional coffee roasters in Chiayi. He believes that the main product of a coffee shop should be abstract, merely presented through the concrete material of coffee.
