From a market to a restaurant, "Four Flavors" leaves a lasting impression. Near Meishan Park in Meishan Township, Chiayi County, there is a forty-year-old establishment—Four Flavors Snack. Their mushroom meat thick soup and pork rib rice may seem ordinary, but they have a distinctly different flavor. The pork chunks in the mushroom meat thick soup are made from pure meat; the fried pork ribs have a tender pink exterior and a special aroma. The owner, Li Shen-Xiuzi, humorously explains that the use of red yeast rice makes the fried ribs look more appealing and adds a subtle hint of wine aroma to the taste! From selling Four Flavors juice to now, although the offerings have changed, the owner’s heartfelt care for the customers has remained constant for forty years.
