Hsuan Shan Lake Mountain Coffee Introduction
Xianshan Lake Mountain Coffee House, established in 2004, covers an area of three hectares and is home to 1,800 coffee trees. The café's unique feature lies in its complete process of coffee production from harvesting, peeling, washing, drying, de-shelling, roasting, to brewing. Originally introduced to Taiwan by the owner from the Dongshan coffee variety grown in Dapu Township, it won awards at the Tsengwen Reservoir Coffee Festival's coffee tasting competition in 2006. The Arabica coffee grown here is medium roasted, resulting in a flavor that is not acidic, not astringent, slightly bitter with a sweet aftertaste. With its low caffeine content, the organic Taiwanese coffee flourishes in the misty, warm, and humid climate of Tsengwen Reservoir, free from pesticides.
