Zhenxing Theater Introduction
The old theater, originally built in the late Qing Dynasty, was later transformed into a Western-style building. It closed down due to the prevalence of television. Today, it still retains the high space inside the theater and occasionally hosts cultural and artistic performances. Sitting inside the theater to drink tea and eat pastries is a favorite activity for the elderly. The Zhenxing Theater was established in 1954, when movie screenings became a popular trend, drawing crowds daily. However, as television became more common, the theater's business was significantly affected, leading to its closure.
