Zhenxing Theater Introduction
The old cinema, originally built in the late Qing Dynasty, was later transformed into a Western-style building and ceased operations due to the popularity of television. It still retains its high ceiling space and occasionally hosts cultural events and performances. Sitting in the cinema enjoying tea and snacks is a favorite pastime for the elders. The Zhengxing Theatre was established in 1954, during a time when movie screenings were all the rage, attracting a constant stream of visitors. However, as television became more common, the cinema's business was greatly affected, leading to its closure.
