Xikou Meatball Introduction

Xikou Meatballs in front of Xikou Beiji Temple was established in 1976 by the original owner, Mr. Sun Chongde. In order to learn the craft of making meatballs, he worked hard to gather NT$30,000 to apprentice in Xinkang. Due to his advanced age, the business is now operated by the second generation, Mr. Sun Jiangming. This nearly 45-year-old establishment produces meatballs with a chewy outer layer and substantial filling. The sauce is made by simmering glutinous rice with sugar, and the flavor is even better when paired with a bowl of the shop's bonito broth.
