Xikou Meatballs Introduction

Xikou Meatballs, located in front of the Xikou North Polar Palace, was established in 1976 by the original owner, Mr. Sun Chong-De. To learn the craft of making meatballs, he saved up 30,000 NTD to apprentice in Xingang. Due to his advanced age, the business is now run by the second generation, Mr. Sun Jiang-Ming. This nearly 45-year-old establishment produces meatballs with a chewy skin and substantial fillings. The sauce is made by simmering glutinous rice with sugar, and when paired with a bowl of the restaurant's dried fish soup, the flavor is even better.
