Xikou Meatball Introduction
Xikou Meatballs in front of Xikou North Polar Temple was established in 1976 by Mr. Sun Chongde. In order to learn the craft of making meatballs, he worked hard to gather NT$30,000 to apprentice in Xingang. Due to his advanced age, the business is currently run by the second generation, Mr. Sun Jiangming. This nearly 45-year-old establishment offers meatballs with a chewy skin and generous fillings, and its sauce is made by simmering glutinous rice with sugar. When paired with a bowl of the shop's bonito soup, the flavor is even better.
