Xikou Meatball Introduction
Xikou Meatball in front of Xikou Polar Hall was established in 1976 by Mr. Sun Chongde. In order to learn the craft of making meatballs, he worked hard to gather NT$30,000 to apprenticeship in Xinkang. Due to his advanced age, the business is currently run by the second generation, Mr. Sun Jiangming.
This nearly 45-year-old shop produces meatballs with a chewy outer skin and substantial filling, and the sauce is made by simmering glutinous rice with sugar. If enjoyed with a bowl of the shop's dried fish soup, the flavor is even better.
