Xikou Meatballs Introduction

Xikou Meatballs in front of Xikou Beiji Temple was established in 1976 by Mr. Sun Chongde. At that time, he worked hard to gather NT$30,000 to apprentice in Xinguang to learn the craft of making meatballs. Due to his advanced age, the business is currently run by the second generation, Mr. Sun Jiangming. This nearly 45-year-old establishment produces meatballs with a chewy outer skin and substantial filling. The sauce is made by simmering glutinous rice with sugar. Pairing it with a bowl of the store's dried fish soup enhances the flavor even more.
