A-Jhen Traditional Cuisine Introduction
Located at the entrance of Xikou Market, A-Zhen's Traditional Cuisine has been in operation for twenty years without a hanging sign. Though the decor is simple, the shop is filled with the rich aromas of traditional flavors, thanks to the dedication of the husband and wife owners. Each dish, whether it's the meatball soup, rice cakes, pork ribs, or other soups, is definitely worth trying. Notably, the "Grandma's Taro Cake," made only on Tuesdays and Saturdays, is a signature dish passed down from the couple who once worked as caterers, known as "Aizai." Now in its third generation, each piece is handmade with no added chemicals, ensuring that the filling is generous and the outer layer is both unique in flavor and pleasantly chewy. Customers say it's best described as "something you’ll miss after eating, and will crave when you haven’t." To serve more customers, the restaurant currently offers online ordering and home delivery for both the taro cakes and pork ribs. Everyone is welcome to place an order.
