Sister Ah-Chen Traditional Cuisine Introduction
Located at the Siekou Vegetable Market and lacking a sign, A-Jen's traditional cuisine has been in operation for twenty years. Although the decor is not extravagant, the owner's dedication to traditional flavors fills the restaurant with the familiar and beloved aromas cherished by food enthusiasts. Whether it's meat soup, rice cakes, pork ribs, or other soups, each dish is definitely worth trying. Notably, the "Grandma's Taro Cake," which is only made on Tuesdays and Saturdays, is a signature dish inherited from a couple who once worked as catering chefs, known as the "Short Chef." Now in its third generation, every aspect of the cake, from the filling to the outer skin, is made by hand without any chemical additives. Each piece is not only filled to the brim with a unique flavor but also has a wonderfully chewy texture that customers describe as "you will miss it after eating, and you will think of it if you don't." To serve more customers, the restaurant now offers ordering and delivery for both the taro cake and pork ribs. Everyone is welcome to place orders.
