Douhua Old Shop - Flavors Remain the Same Introduction
This snack shop located at No. 151, Guogou Dong'an Village, Budai Township, is right next to a local Chenghuang Temple. Inside, there are only two sets of simple tables and chairs, a cart, and a thirty-year-old old menu (signboard). They sell only three items: black tea, mung bean soup, and tofu pudding. Although these are three simple desserts, there is a lot of expertise involved. The handmade tofu pudding is both chewy and soft, and the syrup is simmered for a whole day and night, resulting in an exceptional aroma and sweetness. Each mung bean in the mung bean soup is tender and soft, neither too hard nor too mushy, providing an excellent texture.
