Dapo Pond Introduction
Dapo Pond, also known as "Chi Shang Da Pi," primarily receives its water supply from the underground flow of the Xinwu Stream and the overflow from artificial irrigation channels that irrigate nearby rice fields. The pond's water flows out to the north through a drainage outlet, becoming one of the sources of the Xiuguluan River. Dapo Pond is also a valuable wetland with many species, surrounded by unique plants and often attracting special birds or animals to reside. Each year in July and August, a large "Bamboo Rafting Season" event is held, offering bamboo rafting experiences every weekend, which is a delightful and traditional way to enjoy the lake. Tourists leisurely glide on bamboo rafts, appreciating the beautiful scenery while weaving between lotus leaves, creating a sense of time travel.
