Dapo Pond Introduction
Dapo Pond, also known as "Chi-Shang Great Pond," primarily receives its water supply from the subsurface flow of the Shin-Wu-Lu River and the overflow from irrigation channels serving nearby rice fields. The pond water flows northward through a drainage outlet, becoming one of the sources of the Xiuguluan River. Dapo Pond is also a precious wetland that boasts a rich variety of species, with many unique plants surrounding the area. It often attracts special birds and animals that come to settle here. In July and August each year, a large "Bamboo Rafting Season" event is held, featuring bamboo rafting experiences every weekend, offering a charming and enjoyable way to explore the lake. Visitors can leisurely appreciate the beautiful scenery while paddling through patches of lotus leaves, creating a sense of time travel.
