Chulu Leisure Agricultural Area covers approximately 600 hectares. It stretches from Taitung City through the Huatung Valley (Provincial Highway 9) toward Guanshan, primarily producing cherimoya, loquats, plums, and coffee. Along the way, notable attractions include Chulu Coffee, the Native Plant Application Garden, Shanzhu Organic Coffee, Jiubird Pottery, Jiafang Tea Garden, and Quhe Winery. Within the area, Chulu Ranch is the largest hillside ranch in Taiwan, and the Native Plant Application Garden cultivates over 300 species of herbs, making it the largest in Eastern Taiwan.
