Hsingquan Canal Windbell Tree Introduction
Whenever the blooming season of the golden trumpet tree arrives, a flower-chasing craze emerges across various regions. Located at the junction of Guangfu and Ruisui, Xingquan Canal is a popular spot for appreciating the golden trumpet trees. The nearly 300-meter-long flower path is adorned with golden blooms in March, contrasting beautifully with the distant green mountains. The shimmering golden reflections in the gently flowing water of the canal resemble a stunning oil painting, making it a new hotspot for Instagram and Facebook check-ins. Xingquan Canal, which originates from Fuyuan Butterfly Valley, was constructed during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty and has a history of over a hundred years. It was later taken over by Taiwan Sugar Corporation, which planted trumpet trees along both sides of the canal. Each March, when the flowers bloom, a golden river is formed, with the bright yellow blossoms reflected in the adjacent rice fields, attracting numerous visitors to enjoy the flowers and bask in the beautiful scenery. Important reminder: Due to the proximity of nearby schools, please do not park or leave vehicles randomly near the school (such as Fuyuan Junior High School) to maintain smooth traffic! Since the area around the canal is surrounded by farmland and forests, please walk along the field ridges while flower watching, as slipping is possible. It is recommended to wear non-slip shoes or waterproof shoes that aren't afraid of getting dirty, and you can wash them off after enjoying the flowers. Additionally, please be cautious not to fall into the canal and ensure that no litter is left behind to maintain environmental cleanliness.
