Jijibanana Ji Yuan Fruit Tourism Factory Introduction
To talk about the history of Jiji, we must start with the "Jiji Banana." With its unique climate and fertile soil, Jiji bananas are particularly delicious—fragrant, sweet, full of moisture, and chewy, featuring a distinct flavor. Taiwan was once known as the "Banana Kingdom," and in the early days, it exported a large amount of bananas to Japan, with the central region’s bananas playing a significant role. Jiji bananas once satisfied the picky palate of the Japanese Emperor, who designated them as a tribute, with baskets labeled with the character "千" serving as a quality guarantee for Jiji bananas. Introducing the features of Jiji bananas to everyone, coming to Jiji is not just about riding the small train and enjoying the scenery of the mountain town; Jiji is filled with historical stories and was once a glorious paradise of bananas. The Jiji Banana Ecological Park is divided into three main theme areas: the outdoor banana garden, which cultivates over 103 banana varieties, including ornamental and edible types. In the afternoon, under the sunset, you can gaze at the "Jiji Weir," as the Zhuoshui River flows westward, complemented by the beautiful sunset over the banana garden! The production building houses the headquarters of Jiyi Fruits, where many delicious foods are produced, including banana heart chocolate, banana rolls, banana chips, and golden banana sticks, among others.
