Hua and Matsu Rock Introduction
From the Special Area Center, take the small path on the east side of the Conservation Center. After about 5 to 8 minutes by car, you will reach the "Hua Ji Man Po Stele." In the spring of the 12th year of the Guangxu reign, the words "Hua Ji Man Po" were inscribed on a giant stone, later repainted in red by later generations. Besides the four large characters of the main text, it is also clearly written on the stele: "By imperial decree, the governor in charge of Taiwan and Pescadores, Chen Fangbo, is ordered to pacify the indigenous people and open up the land." The Hua Ji Man Po Stele is a national historic monument, just like the "Kaipi Honghuang Stele," serving as evidence of the development during the Qing Dynasty. Although it is located in a remote area and is somewhat difficult to find, the beautiful scenery along the way makes it suitable for a walk. Visitors can also take the opportunity to visit Ming Hsin Academy for a cultural journey.
