Wuchang Temple Introduction

Wuchang Temple is dedicated to Emperor Xuantian. It collapsed completely during the 921 Earthquake, but fortunately, devotees managed to rescue the deity's statue during the aftershocks. After several years, it still retains its post-disaster appearance and is the only popular site in Jiji Township that preserves the remains of the 921 earthquake. It is said that the beard of the deity has been growing longer, attracting even more devotees who come to pay their respects, making it a famous earthquake memorial site in Jiji Township.
