Wuchang Temple Introduction

Wu Chang Temple is dedicated to Xuantian Shangdi. The temple completely collapsed during the 921 earthquake, but fortunately, devotees rescued the deity's statue during the aftershocks. After several years, it still retains its post-disaster appearance, making it a popular attraction in Jiji Township and the only site that preserves the relics of the 921 earthquake. It is said that the beard of the deity has been growing longer over time, which has led to an increasing number of devotees visiting, turning it into a famous earthquake memorial site in Jiji Township.
