Lion Grove Bakery Introduction

Lion Forest Bakery was founded by Mr. Huang Shuwang. When he was young, Mr. Huang learned to make pastries, and besides pastries, he mastered various snacks such as bread, cakes, "Shaqima," and egg rolls. Originally named Lion Forest Western-style Bakery, it was established in 1981 in Keelung and later moved to Jinshan. The owner utilizes the abundant taro and sweet potatoes from Jinshan to create "One Bite" Taro Puff and Sweet Potato Puff, which are small, bite-sized pastries that have become popular souvenirs among tourists. Additionally, the owner combined improved maltose with small-sized "Mala," creating a non-sticky, easy-to-eat "One Bite" Sesame Ball that doesn't drop sesame all over the place, which has been very well received. The snacks at Lion Forest are almost entirely handmade, resulting in an especially delightful texture.
