Beimen "A-Shan's Oysters" was created by A-Shan's daughter, Wu Li-Juan, and later flourished under A-Shan's guidance. Currently, it is operated by siblings Wu Sen-Nan and Wu Li-Juan. The motivation behind Wu Li-Juan's establishment was the closure of the famous "A-Xi Aunt's Oysters" in Beimen due to the aunt's old age, leaving the locals nostalgic. This prompted Wu Li-Juan to start her stall. Initially, her oyster stall was set up at the pavilion in front of the "A-Xuan Mullet Soup shop," selling daily. However, during that time, Beimen's tourism industry had not developed, resulting in a lack of customers and a desire to close the stall. Wu Wang-Ming-Shan, her mother, noticed more walk-in visitors on weekends and took over the stall, relocating it to the corner of Yonglong Temple, selling only on holidays. Due to the presence of the character "Shan" in Wu Wang-Ming-Shan's name, the locals started calling her "A-Shan," eventually leading to the nickname "A-Shan Master," which surprisingly became her brand. After a challenging period of operation, the Yunjianan National Scenic Area Administration established itself in Beimen, actively promoting the local tourism industry, which propelled Beimen into a significant tourist hub in Taiwan.
