Beimen "A Shan Shi Oysters" was founded by A Shan's daughter, Wu Li Juan, and later expanded by A Shan himself. It is currently managed by siblings Wu Sen Nan and Wu Li Juan. The reason Wu Li Juan started the stall was because the famous "A Xi Aunty Oysters" in Beimen closed down when A Xi Aunty aged, leaving the locals nostalgic. This inspired Wu Li Juan to open her own stall. Wu Li Juan's oyster stall was set up at the pavilion of "A Xuan Fish Soup" and operated daily, but at that time, Beimen's tourism industry had not yet developed, leading to very few customers and low sales, prompting her to consider closing the stall. Her mother, Wu Wang Ming Shan, noticed that there were more walk-in customers on weekends, so she took over the oyster stall and moved it to the corner of Yong Long Temple, operating only on holidays. Because Wu Wang Ming Shan's name has the character "Shan," the locals called her "A Shan Aunty," and later someone referred to her as "A Shan Master," which unexpectedly became her trademark. After A Shan Master struggled for some time, the Yunlin Chiayi Tainan National Scenic Area Administration established an office in Beimen, actively promoting tourism in Beimen. This transformed Beimen into a major tourist destination in Taiwan, boosting the local economy, and "A Shan Shi Oysters" quickly became a famous local delicacy.
