Pau Lee Hsuan

Matsu Foods

Pau Lee Hsuan Introduction

It is said that General Qi Jiguang of the Ming Dynasty came to the south and invented this type of pastry with a hole in the middle, resembling a donut or a bagel, so that soldiers could easily have food to stave off hunger. This pastry can be strung up with a rope and worn around the neck. There are many ways to enjoy Qi Guang Bing, such as filling it with eggs, vegetables, and more, and it is also known as Matsu Burger. An aunt at the long-established restaurant Bao Li Hsuan sells Qi Guang Bing on the second floor of the market in the morning.
