Pao Li Hsuan Introduction
According to legend, during the Ming Dynasty, General Qi Jiguang came to the south and invented this ring-shaped pastry with a hole in the middle, resembling a donut or bagel, so that soldiers could easily carry food. This pastry, known as Jiguang Cake, can be eaten in various ways, filled with ingredients like eggs or vegetables, and is also referred to as Matsu Hamburger. At the old shop Baoli Xuan, an aunt sells Jiguang Cakes on the second floor of the market in the morning.
