Matsu Distillery Introduction
The House of Fine Wine is filled with the aroma of liquor. Matsu Distillery is located at the foot of Niujiaoling in Fuxing Village. It uses sweet and pure spring water to brew its famous wines, particularly renowned for its "Daqu," sorghum liquor, and aged spirits, making it a representative of Matsu's local specialties. Neatly arranged wine jars line the walls of the distillery's entrance, creating a grand atmosphere. A couplet hangs at the entrance that reads, "The fragrance spreads a hundred miles, and the taste intoxicates a thousand families," warmly welcoming visitors to come in and taste the wine. Inside the exhibition hall at the entrance, various fine wines are displayed, including commemorative wines produced by Matsu Distillery over the years, as well as rare medicinal wines that are now out of production. Visitors can also learn about the history of wine production in Matsu by viewing videos and exhibits of early residents’ brewing tools such as iron pots, bamboo sieves, and ancient jars. If you find yourself in Nangan, Matsu, be sure to visit the Matsu Distillery exhibition hall to learn about Matsu's winemaking history—wine enthusiasts definitely shouldn’t miss it!
