Matsu Distillery Introduction
The House of Fine Wine is filled with a rich aroma of alcohol. The Matsu Distillery is located at the foot of Niujiaoling at the entrance of Fuxing Village. It uses sweet and pure spring water to brew its renowned wines, especially famous for its big grain, sorghum, and aged wines, which have become representative specialties of Matsu. The entrance of the distillery features a row of neatly arranged jars that create a magnificent sight, with a couplet hanging at the entrance saying, "Open barrels scent spreads a hundred miles, and washing jars gets a thousand households drunk," warmly welcoming visitors to come in and taste the wines. The exhibition hall at the entrance displays various fine wines, including commemorative wines produced by the Matsu Distillery throughout its history and rare medicinal wines that are now out of print. Visitors can also learn about the past and present of the Matsu Distillery through video introductions and displays of brewing tools used by early residents, such as iron pots, bamboo sieves, and ancient jars. If you visit Nangan in Matsu, be sure to stop by the Matsu Distillery exhibition hall to explore the history of Matsu winemaking. Wine enthusiasts should not miss it! Video screening times: 09:30, 10:30, 14:30, 16:30 (duration approximately 14 minutes).
