Matsu Distillery Introduction
The House of Fine Wine, filled with the aroma of liquor, is located at the foot of Niu Jiao Ling in Fuxing Village in Matsu. The distillery uses sweet, pure spring water to brew its renowned spirits, particularly famous for its Daqu, sorghum, and aged liquor, which have become representative products of Matsu. Neatly arranged groups of fermenting jars line the wall beside the distillery's entrance, creating a grand atmosphere. A couplet hangs at the entrance that reads, "Open the jars to fragrance for miles, wash the jars to intoxicate thousands," warmly welcoming visitors to enter and taste the wine. The exhibition hall at the entrance showcases various fine wines, including commemorative wines produced by Matsu Distillery over the years and rare medicinal wines that are now out of production. Visitors can also learn about the history of the distillery through video presentations, as well as displays of vintage equipment such as iron pots, bamboo sieves, and ancient jars used by early residents for brewing. If you find yourself in Nangan, Matsu, be sure to visit the Matsu Distillery exhibition hall to explore the history of Matsu's liquor production. Wine enthusiasts definitely shouldn't miss it!
