Fuqing Bicycle Path Introduction
The Fuching Bicycle Path offers a seaside view and is the first road in Matsu dedicated to bicycles and pedestrians. Built using funds from the Taipower Zhushan Thermal Power Plant, it was completed in 2008. The bicycle path runs along the coastline, stretching 800 meters from Fuao to Qingshui. During the day, you can enjoy distant views of Fuao Harbor, and at night, the lights attract fish closer to shore, making it a well-known fishing spot among locals! With the completion of the Zhushan Power Plant, the Fuching Bicycle Path can also extend from Qingshui to Zhuoluo. The overall gentle road is not only suitable for cyclists to ride leisurely but is also a great place for many locals to exercise and stroll. The flat path features wooden walkways for pedestrians and a red brick bicycle lane that continues along the coastline, complete with pavilions along the way. On summer nights, taking a stroll on the path and resting by the shore to enjoy the gentle sea breeze offers a delightful moment, making it a wonderful experience for island tourism!
