Fuqing Bicycle Path Introduction
Fuqing Bicycle Path, the first dedicated path for cyclists and pedestrians in Matsu, was completed in 2008 with funding from Taiwan Power Company’s Zhushan Power Plant. The bicycle path runs along the coastline, stretching 800 meters from Fuao to Qingshui. During the day, you can enjoy views of Fuao Harbor, and at night, the illuminated surroundings attract schools of fish, making it a well-known fishing spot among locals! With the completion of Zhushan Power Plant, the Fuqing Bicycle Path can extend from Qingshui to Zhuluo. The overall gentle road is not only ideal for cyclists to ride comfortably but also serves as a great place for locals to exercise and take walks. The flat path features wooden walkways for pedestrians and red brick bike lanes that follow the coastline, with pavilions along the way. On summer nights, walking along the path, you can take a break by the shore and enjoy the gentle sea breeze, creating a delightful moment that is a wonderful experience for island visitors!
