Fuqing Bicycle Path Introduction
Fuqing Bicycle Path with Ocean View is the first road in Matsu dedicated for bicycles and pedestrians. It was constructed using funds from Taiwan Power Company's Zhu Mountain Thermal Power Plant and was completed in 2008. The bike path runs along the coastline, stretching from Fu'ao Road all the way to Qingshui, with a length of 800 meters. During the day, you can enjoy a distant view of Fu'ao Harbor, and at night, the area lights up, attracting fish closer, making it a popular fishing spot among locals! With the completion of the Zhu Mountain Power Plant, the Fuqing Bicycle Path can extend from Qingshui to Zhuoluo. This gently inclined road is not only suitable for cyclists to ride leisurely but also serves as a great place for many locals to exercise and take walks. The flat path features a wooden boardwalk for pedestrians and a red brick bike path for cyclists, extending along the coastline, with pavilions along the way. On summer nights, strolling along the path, when you feel tired, you can rest by the shore and enjoy the gentle sea breeze, creating a moment of delightful leisure—an excellent experience for island tourism!
