Fuqing Bicycle Path Introduction
The Fukhing Bicycle Path, the first road in Matsu designated for bicycles and pedestrians, was completed in 2008 with funding from Taiwan Power Company’s Zhu Mountain Thermal Power Plant. The bike path runs along the coastline, extending from Fuao all the way to Qingshui, with a total length of 800 meters. During the day, you can enjoy distant views of Fuao Harbor, and at night, the area is brightly lit, attracting schools of fish and making it a well-known fishing spot among locals! With the completion of the Zhu Mountain Power Plant, the Fukhing Bicycle Path can further extend from Qingshui to Zhu Luo. The overall flat road is not only suitable for cyclists but also a great place for many locals to exercise and take walks. The smooth path features wooden boardwalks for pedestrians and red brick bike paths for cyclists, stretching along the coastline, with pavilions along the way. On summer nights, strolling along the path, one can take a break by the shore and enjoy the gentle sea breeze, creating a delightful moment that adds to a great island travel experience!
