Fuqing Bicycle Trail Introduction
Fuqing Bicycle Path is the first road in Matsu exclusively for bicycles and pedestrians, constructed with funding from the Taipower Zhushan Thermal Power Plant, and completed in 2008. The bicycle path is built along the coastline, stretching from Fu'ao to Qingshui, with a total length of 800 meters. During the day, visitors can overlook Fu'ao Harbor, and at night, the lights attract schools of fish, making it a well-known fishing spot among locals! With the completion of the Zhushan Power Plant, the Fuqing Bicycle Path can extend from Qingshui to Zhuola. The overall gentle road is not only suitable for cyclists to ride leisurely but also serves as a great place for many locals to exercise and walk. The flat path features a wooden boardwalk for pedestrians and a brick bicycle lane for cyclists, extending along the coastline with pavilions along the side. On summer nights, strolling along the path, one can rest by the shore and enjoy the gentle sea breeze, making for a delightful moment, which is a wonderful island travel experience!
