Fuzheng Beach Introduction
Walking along the small paths in Fuzheng Village, you will discover a stretch of land at the boundary of the sea and land, lying quietly as it sways with the sea breeze and tides. This is Fuzheng Beach, surrounded by the Fuzheng settlement. Fuzheng Beach is a rare sandy geological landscape in Matsu, with fine white sand, making it the perfect place for people to enjoy the water, splash around, and experience the fun of clam digging. Additionally, what very few people know is that Fuzheng Beach is also a habitat for "Matsu clams." Due to its rich intertidal ecology, it is even affectionately known as the "Fridge of Dongjyu." During the summer when clams are abundant, traces of clams can be seen everywhere, and simply digging with your hands can yield unexpected bountiful rewards, a sense of accomplishment that is hard to resist for both locals and visitors!
