Zhongliou Islet Introduction
Middle Stream Island, located off the northern coast of Dongju, is a small reef island that rises from the sea, northwest of the Fuzheng settlement. It is also known as Yongliu Island and referred to by local fishermen as Yu’ao. The island is devoid of trees but is rich in shellfish resources. During low tide, the pebble beach becomes exposed, connecting Fuzheng Beach and the nearby Middle Stream Island. At this time, villagers often gather in groups to collect treasures from nature, such as shellfish and seaweed, enjoying the pleasure of a bountiful harvest, ensuring their trip is worthwhile.
