Zhongliou Island, located off the northeastern coast of Dongju, is a small reef island that rises from the sea, situated northwest of the Fuzheng settlement. It is also known as Yongliu Island and is referred to as Yutou by local fishermen. The island has no trees, but it boasts abundant shellfish resources. During low tide, the pebble beach reveals itself, connecting Fuzheng Beach and the nearby Zhongliou Island. At this time, villagers often gather in groups along the pebble beach to collect the bounties of nature, such as shellfish and seaweed, enjoying the joy of harvest and ensuring a rewarding trip. Note: When visiting the area, it is advisable to keep an eye on the tidal changes and to prioritize safety.
