Middle Island Introduction
Chungliu Island, a small reef island located off the northern coast of Dongju, is a rocky islet that rises from the sea to the northwest of the Fuzheng settlement. It is also known as Yongliu Island and is referred to by local fishermen as Yu'ao. The island does not have any trees, but it is rich in shellfish resources. During low tide, the pebble beach is exposed, perfectly connecting Fuzheng Beach with the nearby Chungliu Island. At this time, villagers often gather in groups to stroll along the pebble beach, collecting the bounties from nature, such as shellfish and seaweed, enjoying the pleasures of a fruitful harvest, ensuring their trip is worthwhile.
