Fo Guang University Campus Introduction
Fo Guang University, located on Linmei Mountain, was established by Master Hsing Yun of Fo Guang Shan in pursuit of the ideal of cultivating talents through education. With the philosophy of "keeping wisdom for oneself and leaving the university for humanity," he initiated the global "Million People Education Committee," gathering the strength of millions from home and abroad, connecting good affinities, and creating a comprehensive university covering approximately 560,000 hectares. The campus offers direct views of the Lanyang Plain and Guishan Island. The external road on the eastern side leads to Cihsin Bridge and Deyou Avenue. The terrain of the campus is higher in the west and lower in the east, with an elevation difference of about 315 meters. The architectural layout on campus highlights the features of traditional Chinese architecture, configured in courtyard style. There are also observation platforms set up on the campus.
