Yilan River Bike Path Introduction

The Yilan River Bicycle Path stretches from Yuan Shan Park to Zhongshan Bridge, connecting to the Yilan Riverside Park. It runs along the embankment by the Yilan River, where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery in spring when everything is lush and green. You can also explore historical sites such as the Yuan Shan Shrine and take in one of the "Eighteen Scenic Spots of Lanyang" - the sunset view from the West Embankment. After refurbishment and planning, Yilan Riverside Park has become a popular sports and recreation area for the public, with neat and clean embankment landscapes that have turned it into the most beautiful bicycle path in Yilan. Starting from the riverside park and passing under the Yilan Bridge, it takes about 5 minutes of cycling to reach the Social Welfare Building, which boasts beautiful views. The building, designed by a renowned architect, is also noteworthy. Climbing to the top offers stunning scenery. Particularly along the banks of the Yilan River, in addition to the expansive grassy areas, there are also fountains, and it's a great spot for kayaking nearby! The scenery along this route is varied, and there are many interesting attractions to explore where you can stop and visit without straying too far, making it a perfect route for families and children to enjoy together.
