Yilan River Bike Path Introduction
The Yilan River Bicycle Path connects Yuanshan Park to Zhongshan Bridge and runs along the embankment of the Yilan River. In April, the landscape is adorned with blooming greenery, allowing visitors to enjoy the beautiful scenery while exploring historical sites such as the Yuanshan Shrine and taking in the views from one of the "Eighteen Scenic Spots of Lanyang" - the Western Dyke at dusk. The Yilan Riverside Park has been renovated and planned, becoming a popular recreational spot for citizens, with tidy and clean riverside views that have made it one of the most beautiful bicycle paths in Yilan. Starting from the Riverside Park and passing under the Yilan Bridge, a five-minute ride brings you to the Social Welfare Center, which features stunning scenery. The center itself is designed by renowned architects, making it an attractive site. After arriving here, climbing up the tall building offers a breathtaking panoramic view. Alongside the Yilan River, there are expansive lawns and fountains, and the river is also a great spot for kayaking nearby. This route presents varied scenery and has numerous special attractions to explore, making it an excellent path suitable for families and parents with children.
