Yilan River Bicycle Path Introduction
The Yilan River Bicycle Path connects Yuanshan Park to Zhongshan Bridge and runs along the embankment of the Yilan River. In April, the spring scenery is lush and green, offering pleasant views while exploring historical sites such as the Yuanshan Shrine. It also provides a glimpse of one of the "Eighteen Scenic Spots of Lanyang" — the view from the Western Dyke at dusk. After renovations and planning, Yilan Riverside Park has become a popular recreational spot for residents, featuring a tidy and clean riverside landscape, which has become Yilan’s most beautiful bicycle path. Starting from Riverside Park, passing under the Yilan Bridge, and cycling for about 5 minutes will lead you to the Social Welfare Center, which is beautifully designed by renowned architects, making it visually appealing. Climbing up the high building here offers a stunning panoramic view. Notably, along the banks of the Yilan River, there are vast grassy areas and fountains, making it an excellent spot for kayaking nearby as well. This route presents diverse scenery and several unique spots to explore, making it a perfect family-friendly path for all ages.
