Yilan River Bicycle Path Introduction
The Yilan River Cycling Path stretches from Yuanshan Park to Zhongshan Bridge, connecting to Yilan Riverside Park. It runs along the banks of the Yilan River, providing beautiful scenery and historical sites such as Yuanshan Shrine, particularly enjoying one of the "Eighteen Scenic Spots of Lanyang" – the Evening View from the West Embankment, especially vibrant in April when spring brings lush greenery. The Yilan Riverside Park has been renovated and planned into a popular spot for sports and leisure, with clean and tidy riverbank views, making it one of the most beautiful cycling paths in Yilan. Starting from the riverside park and passing under the Yilan Bridge, a quick five-minute ride takes you to the Social Welfare Center, which is beautifully designed by a renowned architect and offers stunning views from its height. Along the riverbank, in addition to wide grassy areas, there are also fountains, and the river is a great location for canoeing as well. This route offers diverse scenery and several interesting spots to explore, making it a perfect family-friendly route for parents and children to enjoy together.
