Yilan Riverside Bike Path Introduction
The Yilan River Bicycle Path runs from Yuanshan Park to Zhongshan Bridge, connecting to the Yilan Riverside Park. The path follows the embankment along the Yilan River, offering beautiful views of green landscapes in April and allowing visitors to explore historical sites (Yuan Shan Shrine) while enjoying one of "The Eighteen Attractions of Lanyang" - the view from the Western Embankment at dusk. After being renovated and planned, Yilan Riverside Park has become a popular recreational spot for citizens, featuring a neat and clean riverside landscape, which has turned it into the most beautiful bicycle path in Yilan. Starting from Riverside Park and passing under the Yilan Bridge, a bike ride of about 5 minutes will bring you to the Social Welfare Center, where the scenery is stunning. The center itself is designed by renowned architects and is quite eye-catching. Once there, you can climb to the top for a panoramic view; the scenery is extremely captivating. Especially along the banks of the Yilan River, not only is there a spacious grassy area, but also a fountain, making it a good spot for kayaking nearby! The varied scenery along this route provides many unique attractions to explore, making it a great course suitable for family outings together.
