Ding Dong Science Theme Park Introduction
Established in January 1990, 小叮噹科學股份有限公司 (Ding-Dong Science Co., Ltd.) was initially named 新生地育樂股份有限公司 (New Life Recreation Co., Ltd.). It was founded by several enthusiastic shareholders in science education who pooled resources to create an outdoor amusement park themed around scientific education in Songbaling, Xiangfeng Township, directly complementing the Hsinchu Science Park. The aim was to contribute to the foundation of science education in Taiwan. The park was originally called 新豐育樂大觀園 (Xinfeng Recreation Grand View Park) but was later renamed 小叮噹科學遊樂區 (Ding-Dong Science Amusement Park) for a more memorable title, which has been used ever since. The Ding-Dong Science Theme Park consistently maintains a focus on scientific themes in its design, offering the public an alternative vacation experience while serving as the only outdoor experimental classroom for natural science education in the country. Due to its dedication to these principles and its commitment to serving the public, the company has been awarded the "Outstanding" rating by the Tourism Bureau of the Ministry of Transportation and Communications for 19 consecutive years; this recognition serves as a great encouragement for the company.
