Ding Dong Science Theme Park Introduction
Ding Dong Science Co., Ltd. began operations in January 1990, originally established under the name "Fresh Land Recreation Co., Ltd." It was funded by several shareholders passionate about science education, creating an outdoor amusement park themed around science education at Songbailing in Shangeng Village of Xinfeng Township. This would complement the Hsinchu Science Park, with hopes to contribute to the foundation of science education in Taiwan. The park was initially named "Xinfeng Recreation Grand View Garden," but it was later renamed "Ding Dong Science Theme Park" to make its name more prominent, a title it has retained to this day. The Ding Dong Science Theme Park has consistently adhered to a design direction focused on scientific themes, providing another way for the public to enjoy educational vacations and becoming the only outdoor experimental classroom for national education in natural sciences. Due to these steadfast principles and a commitment to serving the public, the company has been awarded "Excellent" status as a scenic amusement area by the Ministry of Transportation and Communications for 19 consecutive years, which is believed to be the greatest encouragement for the company.
