Tiande Hall Introduction
Tiande Temple, built with investments from local military, political leaders, and wealthy merchants, is the largest temple of Tiandeism in Taiwan. The temple is dedicated to the formless ancient Buddha. Tiandeism follows a belief in a "Dao," rather than idol worship. Tiande Temple is located on the west side of Songbailing. After renovations, the plaza allows for kite flying and play, and the ancient path downhill is a popular spot for local residents to exercise in the morning and stroll in the evening. The plaza in front of the temple offers a view of the Nanzhuang Fishing Port and the wind farm, making it a great scenic spot recommended by locals.
