Tiande Hall Introduction
Tiande Hall was jointly built by local military and political figures as well as wealthy merchants, making it the largest temple of Tiandejiao (the Way of Tiande) in Taiwan. The temple enshrines the formless ancient Buddha. Tiandejiao believes in a concept of "Dao" rather than idol worship. Located on the west side of Songbailing, after renovations, the plaza can be used for kite flying and playing. The ancient path down the slope is a great spot for local residents to exercise in the morning and take walks in the evening. The plaza in front of the temple offers a view of Nanfeng Fishing Port and the wind power plant, making it an excellent scenic spot often talked about by the public.
