Xinfeng Sanyuan Temple Introduction
Following the country road, a magnificent red archway suddenly rises before you amidst the rural landscape. Looking up, the ornate carvings at the top are luxurious yet fail to conceal its solemn grandeur. Passing through the archway, a pair of stone lions guard the entrance to the temple; unlike traditional stone lions, these have flat faces, rounded bodies, and playful, wide-open mouths. Stepping over the threshold, you enter the San-Chuan Hall, where bright red lanterns are hung throughout, creating an extraordinary atmosphere. From the main entrance to the altar, everything is constructed from camphor wood, intricately carved and decorated with lavish designs, making it feel like being in a hall of art. As night falls and colorful lights illuminate the space, entering feels like stepping into a sacred realm.
