Xinfeng Sanyuan Temple Introduction
Following the country road, one suddenly encounters a magnificent red archway towering over the rural fields. Looking up, the intricate carvings on the top exude grandeur, yet cannot hide its solemnity. Passing through the archway, a pair of stone lions stands guard in front of the temple; unlike traditional stone lions, these have a flat appearance and rounded bodies, with amusingly wide, open mouths. Stepping over the threshold and entering the San Chuan Hall, bright red lanterns hang throughout the hall, creating an extraordinary atmosphere; from the front door to the divine altar, everything is constructed from camphor wood, featuring uniquely crafted carved beams and painted rafters, lavishly decorated and exquisitely detailed, resembling a palace of art. As the lights come on at night, the colorful lights illuminate the space, making it feel like entering a sacred realm.
