Xi Nan Lake Mouth Xiansheng Temple Introduction
Xiansheng Palace, located in the bustling area, stands majestically with its grand architecture. The entrance features two ancient-style archways. Passing through the archways and standing in the spacious temple courtyard, one can see cement houses on both sides, and the theater is situated between the two archways, where celebrations can entertain the gods and people. In front of the San Chuan Gate, there are a pair of stone lions guarding the site. Ascending to the front corridor of the San Chuan Hall, the walls on both sides are adorned with intricate stone carvings crafted by skilled artisans. Crossing the threshold, one enters the San Chuan Hall, which is where devotees first pray upon entering the temple. Looking towards the courtyard, the contrast of light and shadow enhances the mysterious depth and solemn grandeur of the main hall. On the left side of the hall is the administration office, while on the right side are altars dedicated to Yue Fei, Bao Gong, and the deities of the devotees' positions. Turning left past the side hall and facing the main hall, one feels the brilliant splendor, showing meticulous care in every aspect. The main deity worshipped here is the Holy Mother, with the Zhen Sheng Niang Niang on the left and the Nine Heavens Xuan Nv on the right. On the second floor, the main deity worshipped is Guanyin, accompanied by Guan Yu and Confucius, with a simple and modest arrangement. The "Xiansheng Palace" holds the Holy Mother’s birthday celebration on the 23rd day of the third lunar month each year, organized on a rotating basis by devotees from the four townships under its jurisdiction.
