Xinan Lake Mouth Xiansheng Temple Introduction
The Xiansheng Palace, located in a bustling area, stands majestically with its grand halls. The entrance features two ancient-style archways. Passing through these archways, you will find yourself in a wide temple courtyard, flanked by concrete houses. The theater is situated between the two archways, providing a venue for feasts and entertainment during celebrations. In front of the San Chuan Gate, a pair of stone lions guard the entrance. Ascending onto the front porch of the San Chuan Hall, you will see the walls adorned with intricate stone carvings created by dedicated artisans. Crossing the threshold into the San Chuan Hall, here is where devotees make their initial offerings; gazing into the courtyard, the main hall appears even more profound and mysterious in the interplay of light and shadows, exuding solemnity and grandeur. The left hall houses the administrative office, while the right hall is dedicated to the deities Yue Fei, Bao Gong, and the god of fortune. Turning left past the side hall and facing the main hall, the splendor and grandeur are overwhelmingly evident. The main deity worshipped here is the Holy Mother, with the left hall dedicated to the Goddess of Childbirth and the right to the Nine Heavens Mystical Woman. On the second floor, Guanyin Bodhisattva is the main deity, accompanied by the God of War and Confucius, with simple and modest furnishings. "Xiansheng Palace" celebrates the birthday of the Holy Mother on the 23rd day of the third lunar month every year, organized alternately by devotees from the four townships in the jurisdiction.
