Green Tunnel Seafood Restaurant Introduction

The recommended dishes at the 2016 certified restaurant "Green Tunnel Seafood Restaurant" include oyster omelet, private recipe red yeast eel, and bitter melon crab with soybean paste. The entrepreneurial story of Green Tunnel Seafood Restaurant truly began from "a single table." The owner, who had just married and moved from mainland China to Taiwan, noticed that the green tunnel had become a bike path where large crowds came to ride bicycles and exercise daily near Yong'an. Being unfamiliar with the area, she developed the idea of starting a business, beginning with selling drinks and desserts, then moving on to serving food. The reasoning was simple: both she and her husband loved seafood, and her excellent cooking skills from her hometown quickly gained popularity among the customers. The name "Green Tunnel" was chosen for its interesting reason beyond geographical connections; there happens to be a century-old banyan tree above the store, prompting the name change from the original "Mainland Sister Restaurant." Many of the patrons come due to its reputation and prefer to dine under the shade of the tree rather than in the air-conditioned rooms, believing that enjoying food in nature adds a unique flavor to their experience. Looking towards the future, the owner smilingly stated, "The most beautiful scenery in Taiwan is the people. Thank you to our lovely customers for your companionship. We will continue to maintain our original intention and strive to serve fresh and delicious dishes while working toward sustainable operations."
