Green Tunnel Seafood Restaurant Introduction
Recommended dishes at the 2016 Kaohsiung City certified restaurant: Oyster omelette, Private red yeast eel, Bitter melon and soybean paste crab. The entrepreneurial story of Green Tunnel Seafood Restaurant truly began with "a table." At that time, the owner had just married and moved from mainland China to Taiwan. She noticed the Green Tunnel becoming a bike path, attracting a large crowd to ride bicycles and exercise near Yong'an every day. Being unfamiliar with the area, she started to have the idea of starting a business, transitioning from selling drinks and snacks to setting up a table to serve food. The reason was simple: both she and her husband loved seafood, and her excellent cooking skills from her hometown quickly spread through returning customers. The interesting reason for naming the restaurant Green Tunnel, while rooted in geographical ties, is also because there happens to be a century-old banyan tree over the shop, leading to the renaming from its original name, Mainland Sister Restaurant. Most customers come specifically to the restaurant, preferring to enjoy their meals under the green shade of the trees rather than in the air-conditioned private rooms, believing it adds a different flavor to the dining experience. Looking to the future, the owner cheerfully says, "The most beautiful scenery in Taiwan is its people. We thank the kind and lovely customers for their continued companionship. We will uphold our original intention and persist in providing fresh and delicious dishes for everyone, moving towards sustainable management."
