Tehuayo Historic Trail Introduction
Tehuayo Ancient Trail, formerly known as Shuishan Ancient Trail, was originally a hunting path established by the Tsou people for hunting, as well as for marriage, visiting relatives, or engaging in battles with other tribes. During the Japanese colonial period, the later section of the ancient trail was transformed into the "Shuishan Line" railway for transporting timber. Tehuayo Ancient Trail has two entrances: one is accessible from the Zizhong area at the boundary of Alishan Township and Xinyi Township, and the other can be entered from the Tehuayo tribe in Alishan.
