Pomelo Garden Eco-Farm Introduction
The Pomelo Garden Ecological Farm is an environmental education base planned by the Cangsheng Environmental Planning Team. The name "Pomelo Garden" comes from the widespread planting of white pomelos, which is a homophone for "again connected" and "round again," alluding to the completeness of time and space. Originally a chicken farm, it was taken over by the second generation who began planting large white pomelos and betel nuts. Currently managed by the third generation alongside a group of young individuals returning to their hometown, the farm transforms traditional agriculture into a leisure industry, retaining some pomelos while diversifying its plantings to create a habitat for wildlife. It embodies the emotional legacy of three generations of ancestors and descendants, reflecting the development of agriculture in Taiwan. The park frequently hosts various experiential activities, allowing children to explore and engage hands-on with nature to understand and learn to protect the ecosystem.
