Beauty Cave Scenic Area Introduction
Meiren Cave, could it be that beauties reside in caves? Of course, the presence of beauties has long become a legend. In ancient Ming Dynasty times, there was a woman of exceptional beauty and diverse talents who encountered a shipwreck and drifted to this place, spending her days alone until she grew old. The story adds a mysterious charm to the scenic area, whether true or false is no longer important, but the beauty of Meiren Cave's landscape remains stunning. Meiren Cave scenic area is located at the northeastern tip of Xiaoliuqiu, divided into two parts by the round-island highway. By walking up the stone steps, one reaches the coral reef slope terrain, while descending along the stone steps leads to the coral reef coastal area. The scenic area features thirteen points of interest including winding paths, Tianwai Tian, Lover's Flat, Immortal Cave, Immortal Spring, Wanghai Pavilion, Meiren Cave, Yiran Garden, Charming Array, A Line of Sky, Banyan Rock Valley, Tranquil Valley, and Bat Cave. Along the winding pedestrian paths, one finds naturally formed rock walls and mysterious caves, with small animals occasionally busying themselves in the bushes or treetops. Moving closer to the coast along the winding path, the breathtaking beauty of the vast ocean and sky instantly comes into view. Wanghai Pavilion, perched high on the cliffside, truly looks out at the sea, gazing at the shimmering waves, the blue sky, and the fish farming nets that treat the ocean as farmland. This unique scene can only be appreciated from this vantage point. The coastal area of Meiren Cave is not only known for its clean water quality but also for the Kuroshio Current passing through, creating an environment highly suitable for marine life. This has led to the rise of cage aquaculture, with numerous cages of various sizes placed approximately 200 meters offshore, enclosing fish like grouper, black sea bream, and red snapper. This not only increases the fishing yield for the locals of Liuqiu but also transforms the area into a distinctive tourist attraction.
