Beauty Cave Scenic Area Introduction
"Beauty Cave"? Could it be that beauties live in caves? Of course, the tracks of beauties have become a legend. In ancient Ming Dynasty, there was a woman of outstanding beauty and diverse talents, who faced a shipwreck and drifted to this place. From then on, she lived alone for many years until she passed away. The story adds a touch of charm to the scenic area; whether it's true or false doesn't matter anymore, as the scenery of Beauty Cave remains breathtakingly beautiful. The Beauty Cave Scenic Area is located on the northeastern tip of Xiao Liu Qiu, divided into two parts by the round-island highway. Ascending the stone steps, one encounters coral reef hills, while descending the steps leads to the coral rock coastline. The scenic area includes thirteen points of interest, namely, winding paths, Tianwaitian, Lover’s Terrace, Immortal Cave, Immortal Spring, Wanghai Pavilion, Beauty Cave, Serenity Garden, Charming Array, One-Line Sky, Banyan Rock Valley, Tranquil Valley, and Bat Cave. Along the winding pedestrian paths, natural coral cliffs and strange caves abound, and occasionally, small animals can be seen busy in the grass or treetops. Continuing towards the coastal bends, the vast sky and sea compete without contention, and the stunning scenery immediately captures the eye. Wanghai Pavilion, perched high above a cliff, aptly faces the sea, offering views of shimmering waves, a blue sky, and fish farming cages in the ocean, a sight that can only be appreciated from this vantage point. The coastal area of the Beauty Cave Scenic Area not only has clean water, but is also influenced by the Kuroshio Current of the Pacific Ocean, creating a habitat ideal for fish. This has led to the development of cage aquaculture, with various sizes of cages placed in the water about two hundred meters offshore, enclosing grouper, black sea bream, and red snapper, thus increasing the fishing yields for the local residents of Liu Qiu and making it a unique tourist attraction.
