Beauty Cave Scenic Area Introduction
"Meiren Cave"? Could it be that beauties reside in caves? Of course, the traces of the beauty have turned into a legend. In ancient Ming Dynasty, there was a woman with extraordinary beauty and numerous talents who encountered a shipwreck and drifted to this place, spending her lonely years here until she passed away. The story adds an intriguing flavor to the scenic area; whether true or false is no longer important, as the scenery of Meiren Cave remains breathtakingly beautiful. The Meiren Cave Scenic Area is located at the northeastern corner of Xiaoliuqiu, divided into two parts by the round-island highway. Climbing up the stone steps leads you to a coral reef hillside terrain, while descending along the stone steps takes you to the coral reef coastal area. The scenic area has planned thirteen spots for visitors, including winding paths exploring the wonders, Tianwaitian, Lover's Flat, Xianrendong, Xianren Spring, Wanghai Pavilion, Meiren Cave, Yiran Garden, Charming Array, Yixiantian, Rongyan Valley, Ningjing Valley, and Bat Cave. Along the winding pedestrian paths, one can see natural rocky cliffs, odd caves, and occasionally spot small animals scurrying among the grass and treetops. As one walks further toward the shore along the winding path, the vast sky and ocean compete for attention, presenting stunning views that suddenly come into sight. Wanghai Pavilion, situated high above the cliff coast, appropriately faces the sea, looking towards the shimmering waves, the blue sky, and the aquaculture nets that treat the sea as farmland. This special scenery can only be admired from this spot. The coastal area of Meiren Cave Scenic Area not only has clean water quality but also has the Kuroshio Current flowing through, creating an ideal environment for fish survival. Thus, aquaculture fishing has flourished, with numerous large and small fish nets placed about two hundred meters off the coast, enclosing groups of grouper, black sea bream, and red drum, which not only increases the fishing income of the local residents of Liuqiu but also turns it into a unique tourist attraction.
