Beauty Cave Scenic Area Introduction
"Beauty Cave"? Could it be that a beauty lived in a cave? Of course, the beauty's presence has long turned into a legend. In ancient Ming Dynasty, there was a woman of exceptional beauty and talent who, after encountering a shipwreck, drifted to this place and spent her days alone until old age. The story adds a touch of intrigue to the scenic area, and whether it's true or not is no longer important; the scenery of Beauty Cave remains stunningly beautiful. The Beauty Cave Scenic Area is located on the northeastern corner of Xiao Liuqiu, divided into two parts by the circular highway. Climbing the stone steps leads up to a coral reef hillside, while descending the steps takes you to the coral reef coastline. The scenic area includes thirteen attractions: winding paths, Tien Wai Tien, Lover's Flat, Immortal Cave, Immortal Spring, Wang Hai Pavilion, Beauty Cave, Relaxation Garden, Charming Array, Sky Alley, Banyan Rock Valley, Tranquil Valley, and Bat Cave. Along the winding and meandering pedestrian walkway, one can see the naturally formed coral stone walls and intriguing caves, and occasionally small animals can be spotted bustling in the grass or atop the trees. As you walk further to where the winding path approaches the shore, the vast sky and ocean present a breathtaking view. Wang Hai Pavilion perches high on the cliffside, facing the sea, offering a view of the glittering waves, the blue sky, and the aquaculture nets in the ocean. This unique scenery can only be appreciated from this vantage point. The coastal area of Beauty Cave Scenic Area not only has clean water but also benefits from the Pacific Black Current, creating an ideal environment for fish to thrive, thus leading to the development of cage aquaculture. Approximately two hundred meters off the coast, many cages of various sizes are placed in the sea, enclosing groups of fish such as grouper, black sea bream, and red snapper, increasing the fishing yield for the local residents of Liuqiu and making it a distinctive tourist attraction.
