Liuqiu Management Station and Visitor Center Introduction
The Lyudao Management Station and Visitor Center is located on the hillside next to Baisha Tourist Port and is a three-story building. Due to the slope, the main entrance is on the second floor, where the lobby has a tourist information counter, staffed by personnel providing real-time travel consultation services. It is equipped with both static and dynamic tourist guidance facilities, as well as a large briefing (conference) room that can accommodate 75 people, offering services for large meetings and guided tours for groups. The outdoor area includes an entrance plaza, a seaview platform, and shops. The first floor contains the management station office and is not open to visitors, but the outdoor observation platform allows tourists to rest and enjoy views of Baisha Tourist Port and the beautiful sea scenery. The third floor is the dormitory area, which is also not open for visits. The Lyudao Management Station and Visitor Center was originally the Lyudao Township Library, built in 1995. Afterward, in 2000, Lyudao Township was incorporated into the Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area management scope. Due to the difficulty in acquiring land initially, Lyudao Township borrowed part of the library space from the township office to temporarily serve as the management station and visitor center. To enhance recreational service quality and respond to the annual increase in tourist numbers in the designated scenic area of Lyudao, the Dapeng Bay National Scenic Area Management Office obtained approval from the township office in 2009 to acquire the land and building of the Lyudao Township Library for permanent use, planning to renovate it into a permanent Lyudao Management Station and Visitor Center. After renovation, it officially opened in 2012. The overall appearance features red tile roofs and white walls, showcasing an island style while integrating elements of composite architecture, such as European-style spires, columns, and corridor designs, making the management station building stand out distinctly from other structures on the island, thereby becoming a new local attraction.
