Zhongao Beach Introduction
Located on the northeastern side of Liuqiu Island, this area is ideal for swimming, water activities, fishing, and other seaside recreational activities, making it one of the main natural beaches on Liuqiu Island. The intertidal and subtidal zones are formed by coral reefs and shell fragments, creating a linear shell sand beach. On the left side, there is a spacious pavilion facing the sea, and on the right, an outcropping coastal embankment serves as a fishing area, where anglers can often be seen carrying baskets filled with various sea fish and tropical fish. This area allows for the observation of tidepool organisms such as hermit crabs, gobies, eel, and mollusks. Zhongao Beach is also one of the most recommended spots for water activities by local residents, with a gentle coastline that is much safer than other coastlines on Liuqiu Island. The romantic scenery of blue seas and skies attracts many visitors and families to come here for fun, and in recent years, it has also become a popular spot for wedding photography. The "Water Fetching" ceremony of the Wang's Peace Festival, held every three years, also takes place here.
