Zhongao Beach Introduction
Located on the northeastern side of Liuqiu Island, this area is the most suitable for swimming, playing in the water, fishing, and other seaside recreational activities, making it one of the main natural beaches of Liuqiu Island. The intertidal and subtidal zones are formed by coral reefs and shell fragments, creating a strip-shaped sandy beach with shell sand. On the left side, there is a spacious pavilion facing the wind and the sea, while the right side has a protruding coastal embankment designated for fishing enthusiasts, who are often seen with fish baskets containing various marine and tropical fish. This area allows for observation of intertidal creatures such as hermit crabs, mudskippers, eels, and mollusks in the tidal pools. Zhongao Beach is also one of the most recommended water activity destinations by local residents, with a gentle coastline that is much safer than other coastlines on Liuqiu Island. The romantic scenery of blue seas and skies attracts many visitors, including families who continually flock to this place. In recent years, it has also become a popular site for wedding photography. Additionally, the "Water Asking" ceremony of the Wang King Peace Festival, held every three years, takes place here.
