Zhongao Beach Introduction
Located on the northeast side of Liuqiu Island, this area is ideal for swimming, water activities, fishing, and other seaside recreational activities, making it one of the main natural sandy beaches of Liuqiu Island. The intertidal and subtidal zones here are formed by coral reefs and shell fragments, creating a belt-like shell sand beach. On the left side, there is a spacious pavilion facing the sea, while on the right side, an extended coastal embankment serves as a fishing area for anglers, who are often seen carrying fishing baskets filled with various marine and tropical fish. Visitors can observe intertidal organisms like hermit crabs, gobies, eels, and mollusks in the tidal pools. Zhongao Beach is also one of the most recommended water activity spots by local residents. Its gentle coastline is much safer than other coastlines on Liuqiu Island, and the romantic scenery of blue seas and skies attracts many tourists to bring their families for visits. In recent years, it has also become a popular location for wedding photography, and the traditional "Water Asking" ceremony of the Wang's Peace Festival, held every three years, also takes place here.
