Zhongao Beach Introduction
Located on the northeast side of Liuqiu Island, it is one of the main natural beaches of Liuqiu Island, ideal for swimming, playing in the water, sea fishing, and other beach recreational activities. The intertidal and subtidal areas are formed by coral reefs and shell fragments, creating a belt-like sandy beach. On the left side, there is a spacious pavilion facing the sea, while on the right side, a protruding coastal embankment serves as a fishing area for anglers, often spotted with fishermen carrying fish baskets filled with various marine and tropical fish. This area is also a great spot to observe intertidal creatures such as hermit crabs, gobies, eels, and shellfish in the tidal pools. Zhongao Beach is one of the most recommended water sports destinations by local residents, with a gentle coastline that is much safer than other coastlines of Liuqiu Island. The romantic scenery of blue seas and skies attracts many visitors with their families to come and enjoy, and in recent years, it has become a popular spot for wedding photography. The "Water Inviting" ritual of the Wang King Peace Festival, held every three years, also takes place here.
