Shouka Ridge Trail Introduction
The Shoufeng Checkpoint on the Shoufeng Forest Road is located at the border of Pingtung and Taitung. After being abandoned for many years, it has recently become a must-visit spot for cyclists traveling around the island via the Southern Link Highway. The walls of the checkpoint and nearby signs have been signed by numerous cyclists, creating a unique scene along the Shoufeng section. Riding along County Road 199 toward Neipu and Mudan, one can see the lush Pencil Pines on both sides and the beautiful wild ginger flowers scattered on the ground. The refreshing breeze along the forest road leaves cyclists feeling satisfied with their journey.
