Xuhai Hot Springs Introduction
Xuhai Hot Spring is located in Xuhai Village, Mudan Township. The spring water is naturally sourced from underground and is a colorless and odorless carbonate spring, with a temperature of around 45°C and a pH value of approximately 7.4, classifying it as mildly alkaline water. The facilities are arranged in public bathhouse style, divided into male and female bathing areas, making it one of the rare public bath hot springs in Taiwan. While soaking in hot springs is beneficial for health, it's advisable not to soak for too long, generally limited to 15 minutes. If visitors have come from a long journey, it is best to take a short break before entering the bath to avoid discomfort. The quality of the spring water is good, and when combined with the proper bathing methods, it can provide a relaxing experience. Before entering the bath, slowly shower from the feet to the head with hot spring water to let the body adjust to the water temperature, which serves as a warm-up. Then start by soaking the feet in the spring pool for a few minutes before fully entering, but the water level should not exceed the heart area. The temperature of the spring water gradually promotes blood circulation, warming the body and enhancing health benefits. After enjoying a soothing hot spring bath, take a stroll in the nearby area! There is a seemingly secluded Xuhai Village, primarily inhabited by the Paiwan indigenous people, rich in indigenous cultural characteristics. Since Xuhai Village is nestled between the mountains and the sea, visitors can appreciate the beauty of layered mountains while having a distant view of the vast Pacific Ocean, with natural scenery beyond criticism. Continuing toward the coast, you will come to the tranquil Xuhai Fishing Port, where instead of modern trawlers, you will find increasingly rare shrimp boats. Approaching the embankment, you can see various fishing scenes painted on the seawall, with charming and playful designs. Not far from Xuhai Fishing Port is the crescent-shaped Mudan Bay, which shows little evidence of artificial excavation and maintains its original rustic appearance. The shore is scattered with beautiful seashells and pebbles, and under the brilliance of the blue sea, golden sunlight, and azure sky, it creates a captivating view.
