Jiadegu Indigenous Plant Life Education Park Introduction
"Jia De Valley," in the Paiwan language called "gidaku," means "located below the village." In the past, it belonged to the Mudan Society and served as a place for tribe members to gather and exchange opinions. In light of the centuries of ecological and plant application knowledge accumulated by ancestors, much of this knowledge has gradually faded over time, compounded by a significant outflow of the tribal population, leading to gaps in traditional language and tribal historical culture. Therefore, the tribe members decided to establish an association to manage the "Jia De Valley Indigenous Plant Living Education Park," serving as a base for cultural heritage and tourism development. Besides offering Paiwan-style cuisine, they cultivate organically certified herbs for various herbal products, as well as showcase tribal handicrafts, promoting the aesthetic craftsmanship of indigenous people.
