Peony Park Introduction
Located in Mudan Township, Mudan Village, Mudan Park is a great place for a stroll and relaxation, as well as the entrance to the hiking trail of Mudan Mountain. The small and charming Mudan Park, situated on flat forest land next to Mudan Village, offers a view of the slowly descending mist from Mudan Mountain on summer afternoons. With its elegant pavilion and exquisite stairs, complemented by the formerly desiccated mountain landscape, the sound of birds and insects, along with a gentle breeze, provides a perfect retreat to take a break and enjoy a leisurely escape from the mundane. A leisurely hike up Mudan Mountain rewards visitors with a broad view from the summit, where the Pacific Ocean to the east, the Dongyuan Tribe to the north, and the lower Mudan Village at the foot of the mountain come into view. The picturesque scenery of Mudan Valley makes one forget the fatigue of climbing. The trail from the trailhead to the triangulation point of Mudan Mountain is approximately 3.7 kilometers long, with gentle elevation changes and good trail conditions, passing through acacia plantations and native broadleaf forests. Wandering through the mountains and forests, Mudan Mountain, rich in flora and fauna, stands as an excellent outdoor ecological classroom.
