Peony Garden Introduction
Mudan Park, located in Mudan Village of Mudan Township, is a great place for a stroll and relaxation, as well as the entrance to the hiking trail leading to Mudan Mountain. This small yet charming park is set in flat forest land next to Mudan Village. Every summer afternoon, visitors can enjoy the gentle mist descending from Mudan Mountain. The elegant pavilion and exquisite steps complement the once-yellowed mountain landscape, with the sounds of birds and insects and a gentle breeze creating a serene atmosphere for resting. As one ascends Mudan Mountain slowly, the panoramic view from the summit is breathtaking, with the Pacific Ocean to the east, Dongyuan Village to the north, and the lower Mudan Village at the foot of the mountain all clearly visible, capturing the beauty of Mudan Valley and making one forget the fatigue of climbing. The trail from the entrance to the triangulation point of Mudan Mountain is approximately 3.7 kilometers long, with gentle ups and downs and good trail conditions. Along the way, hikers pass through acacia afforestation areas and native broadleaf forests. Interwoven within the forest, Mudan Mountain, rich in plant and animal resources, serves as an excellent outdoor ecological classroom.
