Taitung Art Museum Introduction
The small but beautiful Taitung Art Museum is the only exhibition space in Eastern Taiwan focused on "fine arts." The spacious green lawn provides a refreshing atmosphere, with totems representing Taitung's indigenous peoples placed on the lawn, and several public art pieces scattered around. The driftwood art offers a rustic texture, making the entire space visually striking and evoking a profound appreciation for art. The Taitung Art Museum consists of two phases of buildings. The first phase primarily focuses on exhibition and collection, featuring two exhibition halls: the Mountain Song Hall and the Sea Dance Hall, as well as administrative areas, meeting rooms, and a collection room. The second phase is designed for more active use, including creative classrooms, an arts-themed café, and a resting area for resident artists. These two phases reflect the county government's intention to integrate the beauty of Taitung's landscapes into life and art, fostering an interaction between people, art, and the environment to promote creative development. While enjoying the stunning views of Taitung, visitors should not miss the opportunity to experience the beauty of art merging with nature at the Taitung Art Museum.
