Basiang Tribe (Taoyuan Tribe) Introduction
When you arrive at the Taoyuan Tribal Village, you can first visit the Bunun Cultural Park. The Bunun Cultural Park has a rich collection of historical documents and artifacts from the early tribal village, as well as performances of the Bunun’s traditional singing and dancing rituals, which have been passed down for a millennium through the eight-part harmony. This allows visitors to step into the flow of time and fully understand the people of the mountains and forests. Inside the village, you'll find a compact yet artistic community with very mini facilities, including a cozy little post office. If you enjoy weaving, don’t miss the Abus Workshop in Taoyuan Tribal Village, which features many traditional weaving techniques from the Bunun tribe.
