Bashigao Tribe (Taoyuan Tribe) Introduction
Arriving at the Taoyuan tribe, one can first visit the Bunun Cultural Park. The park features a rich collection of early historical documents and artifacts from the old tribe, as well as displays of the Bunun's traditional polyphonic singing, dance rituals, and ceremonies, allowing visitors to step back in time and fully understand this group of mountain forest inhabitants. Inside the tribe, you'll find a very small but art-filled community. The various facilities in the tribe are very miniaturized, with a tiny post office that feels very warm and inviting. Friends who enjoy weaving should not miss the Abus Workshop in Taoyuan tribe, which houses many traditional weaving items from the Bunun people.
