North海 Visitor Center Introduction
The North Sea Tourist Service Center is located in Chikan Village, Baisha Township, Penghu County. It is the main tourist service center in the northern Penghu area, primarily providing services such as consultation, waiting area, ticket purchasing, explanations, and dining. It also offers locker and luggage storage services for the convenience of travelers. The first floor features counters for various speedboat companies, alongside a tourist service center and a merchandise shop. The second floor houses a restaurant, providing convenient dining options for tourists while they wait for their boat. The adjacent Chikan Pier is the main departure and arrival point for speedboats to Jibei Island, Xianjiao Island, Mudou Island, and other northern offshore islands. Chikan Pier is also the most important fishing harbor in Baisha Township for catching dried squid, with the squid fishing season running from April to September each year. The North Sea Tourist Center has a free motorcycle parking lot, and behind the parking area is a rock wall approximately three stories high, showcasing unique rock weathering features. Due to the higher elevation, this area maintains a more complete landscape of cacti and their fruits. There are also plans for a pavilion and wooden plank walkway. Next to the tourist center, there is Chikan Beach, which is a coral and shell fragment beach that remains clean due to its low visitor numbers. 【Suggested stay time】 0.5 hours.
