North Sea Visitor Service Center Introduction
The Beihai Visitor Service Center is located in Chihkan Village, Baisha Township, Penghu County, and serves as the main tourist service center for the northern Penghu area. It primarily provides services such as information, waiting areas, ticket sales, guided tours, and dining options. It also offers lockers and luggage storage services for the convenience of travelers. The first floor features counters for various speedboat companies, as well as a visitor service center and a shop, while the second floor houses a restaurant, providing convenient dining options for tourists waiting for their boats. The Chihkan Wharf next to the service center is the main departure and arrival point for speedboats traveling to nearby islands such as Jibei Island, Xianjiao Island, and Mudou Island. Additionally, Chihkan Wharf is the most important squid fishing port in Baisha Township, with the squid fishing season occurring from April to September each year. The Beihai Visitor Center is equipped with free motorcycle parking. Behind the parking lot, there is approximately a three-story high rock wall displaying unique weathered rock formations. Due to the higher elevation, this area also retains a relatively intact landscape of cactus plants and fruits. There are plans for a pavilion and wooden walkway on top. Next to the visitor center, there is Chihkan Beach, a coral shell fragment beach that remains clean due to its fewer visitors. [Suggested stay time] 0.5 hours.
