Longde Temple (Chihkan) Introduction
Main Deity: Nezha, the Third Prince Festival Date: May 23 of the Lunar Calendar Established in the early Qing Dynasty during the Kangxi era, it has a history of about three hundred years. The temple site was donated by the wealthy Zhang Baiwan. It primarily enshrines Nezha, the Third Prince, and receives a significant amount of incense offerings, serving as a religious center for the villagers of Baisha Chikan. The temple has undergone multiple renovations, yet the legendary deeds of Nezha continue to be fondly recounted by the villagers.
The temple is constructed in the South China heavy burden style, with the main ridge adorned by two dragons facing the Three Stars in a cut tile design, a colorful phoenix spreading its wings, and a dragon coiled in a majestic position, each excelling in its own way.
