Chihkan Pier Introduction
Chikan Terminal is located in the northeastern part of Baisha Township, Penghu County. In recent years, the popularity of water activities in the North Sea has made Chikan Terminal the hottest terminal in Penghu. The county government has invested heavily in building a North Sea Tourist Service Center here. Most of the speedboats traveling to various islands in the North Sea dock at this terminal. Inside the service center, there are lovely murals, and the second floor features a restaurant for travelers to enjoy meals. It serves as the main gateway for taking speedboats to Jibei Island, Xianjiao Island, and Mudu Island, among other North Sea vacation destinations. Chikan is the autonomous locality of Baisha Township, and nearby islands offer opportunities for snorkeling, viewing coral reef underwater scenery, feeding fish, and engaging in water activities such as jet skiing, banana boating, and twin-hull boating. Chikan Terminal is also the most important port for catching lantern fish in Baisha Township; most of the lantern fish caught in Penghu are harvested by the villagers of this village. The fishing season for lantern fish is between May and July each year. Interested travelers can participate in the seafood festival held annually by the Penghu County Government, where they can watch fishing boats capture lantern fish alongside professional guides in the early morning. 【Recommended stay time】 0.5 hours.
