Chiayi Port Introduction
Chikan Pier is located in the northeastern part of Baisha Township, Penghu County. In recent years, with the rise of water activities in the North Sea, Chikan Pier has become the most popular pier in Penghu. The county government invested heavily in building a North Sea Tourist Service Center here, where most of the speedboats traveling to various islands in the North Sea dock. The service center features cute murals, and the second floor has a restaurant for travelers to dine. It serves as the main entry and exit point for speedboat trips to Jibei Island, Xianjiao Island, Mudou Island, and other North Sea vacation destinations. Chikan is also the autonomous area of Baisha Township, where nearby islands offer snorkeling, coral reef underwater sightseeing, fish feeding, water scooters, banana boats, and other water activities. Chikan Pier is also the most important port for catching paperfish in Baisha Township, with most of the paperfish in Penghu caught by the villagers of this locality. The season for catching paperfish is from May to July each year, and interested travelers can participate in the seafood festival held by the Penghu County government, where they can watch fishing boats catching paperfish early in the morning with professional guides. 【Recommended stay time】 0.5 hours
