The spacious tree-lined avenues of Zhongxiao Road and Shih-Hsien Road in Chiayi City provide ample green space, with a designated bike lane planned by the city’s transportation department, allowing the public to ride amidst greenery. Shih-Hsien Road is an important outer ring road in Chiayi City, measuring 90 meters wide, with an eight-lane road flanked by broad green belts and forests, and the bike lane winds through this woodland. As you progress along Shih-Hsien Road, even with cars speeding outside, cyclists remain unaffected. Each section of the Shih-Hsien Road bike lane offers different scenery, each showcasing its unique charm. The road features both concrete and brick surfaces, adding to the enjoyment of different terrains. If you feel tired and need a break, there is also thoughtful design for bike parking.
