Thanks to the efforts of the Chiayi City Government to promote cycling, on weekends, you can see families biking leisurely throughout the city and the countryside, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The spacious tree-lined boulevards of Zhongxiao Road and Shih-Hsien Road in Chiayi City feature large green spaces, and the city's Transportation Department has planned bike lanes that allow residents to enjoy the greenery while riding their bikes. Shih-Hsien Road is an important outer ring road in Chiayi City, with a width of 90 meters, consisting of eight lanes of traffic, flanked by wide green belts and forests, with bike lanes winding through the greenery. As you continue along Shih-Hsien Road, even with cars speeding by outside, cyclists remain unaffected. Each stretch of the bike lane on Shih-Hsien Road offers different scenery, each presenting its unique charm. The road features not only concrete surfaces but also brick paths, providing a variety of terrains for added enjoyment.
