Tung Blossom Park Introduction
The Tucheng District Office of New Taipei City established the Tung Flower Park in 2004, covering an area of seven hectares to promote a healthy ecological tour. Located on the slope of Tian Shang Mountain, the highest peak in Tucheng, the park is nestled within a valley formed by Nantanmu Mountain and Huoyan Mountain. Visitors can enjoy a winding wooden walkway along the Shibi Liao Creek. The multifunctional recreation park is equipped with various facilities, including an outdoor performance and viewing area, a charcoal kiln display area, a tea brewing resting platform, a viewpoint overlooking the Tucheng urban area, a triangular suspension bridge for children to play, a three-dimensional climbing net, and a firefly rehabilitation area, making it a versatile leisure park. Tung Flower Park is home to nearly a hundred species of oil tung trees and wild cherry blossoms. Every spring and early summer, when the tung flowers bloom, visitors can stroll along the scenic walking paths to admire the beautiful sight of the tung flowers resembling snow. It's common to see tourists arranging the collected tung flowers into heart shapes, adding a romantic touch to the experience. In recent years, ecological restoration efforts have succeeded, allowing visitors to witness fireflies dancing at night, providing a momentary escape from the hustle and bustle and a chance to immerse themselves in nature.
