Tonghua Park Introduction
The Tucheng District Office in New Taipei City established the Tung Blossom Park in 2004 to promote healthy ecological tourism. Located on the slope of Tian Shang Mountain, the highest peak in Tucheng, Tung Blossom Park spans seven hectares and features a valley terrain formed by Nantianmu Mountain and Huoyan Mountain. Visitors can stroll along the scenic boardwalk that follows the Shibi Liao Creek. The multifunctional recreation park includes various facilities such as an outdoor performance area with seating, a charcoal kiln display area, a tea relaxation platform, a viewing platform overlooking Tucheng City, a triangular suspension bridge for children to play, a three-dimensional climbing net, and a firefly rehabilitation area, making it a versatile leisure park. Known for its romantic "May Snow," Tung Blossom Park is home to nearly one hundred oil tung trees and mountain cherry blossoms. Every spring to early summer, as the tung flowers bloom, visitors can enjoy the snow-like beauty of the flowers along the scenic paths, often arranging the collected flowers into heart shapes, creating a romantic atmosphere. In recent years, successful ecological restoration has allowed fireflies to dance at night, providing a serene escape from the hustle and bustle and letting visitors immerse themselves in nature's embrace.
