Taiji Mountain Introduction
Taijiling Trail is located within the Lengshuikeng Leisure Park in Tucheng, near the urban area of Tucheng. It features a serene mountain lake and multiple hiking trails such as Wenbi Mountain, Jiangjun Ridge, Wucheng Mountain, and Taijiling, making it a popular retreat for local residents. The area is known for its abundance of tung blossoms, and in recent years, the Taijiling Trail has become one of the routes for the "Tucheng May Tung Blossom Festival." In early spring 2012, after media coverage of a section with 101 steps called the "Cherry Blossom Tunnel" near the mountain peak, the trail became a newly popular cherry blossom viewing spot in New Taipei City. A walk along the Taijiling Trail not only allows visitors to enjoy the blossoms but also offers panoramic views of Tucheng, Banqiao, Xinzhuang, and even distant areas like Linkou Plateau and Guanyin Mountain, providing a refreshing and pleasing experience. Taijiling is situated on a platform in the middle of the Wucheng Mountain Range and, with the planting of numerous cherry trees along the trails, has become one of the hidden cherry blossom spots in Tucheng. It takes about 30 minutes to walk from the entrance of the hiking trail next to the mountain lake parking lot, and visitors can also access the peak from No. 64 and No. 68 Shimen Road. At the top, there is an entrance featuring 101 steps symbolizing health and wealth, making it a popular hiking route for tourists from the Tucheng suburb.
