Taijiling Introduction
Taiji Ridge Trail is located within the Lengshuikeng Leisure Park in Tucheng, near the Tucheng urban area. It features a tranquil mountain lake and is connected to several hiking trails, including Wunbi Mountain, Jiangjun Ridge, Wucheng Mountain, and Taiji Ridge, making it a popular retreat for Tucheng residents. The area around Taiji Ridge is known for its abundant tung flowers, and in recent years, the trail has become one of the routes for the "Tucheng May Tung Flower Festival." In early spring 2012, a segment of the trail near the peak known as the "Sakura Tunnel," consisting of 101 steps, gained media attention and became a newly emerging cherry blossom viewing spot in New Taipei City. A walk along the Taiji Ridge Trail not only offers the chance to enjoy the flowers but also provides stunning views of Tucheng, Banqiao, and Xinzhuang, as well as distant sites such as Linkou Plateau and Guanyin Mountain, creating a delightful and refreshing experience. Taiji Ridge is situated on a flat area at the mid-slope of the Wucheng Mountain range. Due to numerous cherry blossom trees planted by hikers along the trail, it has become one of Tucheng's hidden cherry blossom viewing spots. It takes about a 30-minute walk from the parking lot next to the mountain lake to reach the trail entrance, and access is also available from Shimen Road, Numbers 64 and 68, with a 101-step entrance symbolizing health and wealth, which has become a popular hiking route for visitors in the Tucheng area.
