Tai Chi Ridge Introduction
Taiji Ridge Trail is located within the Lengshuikeng Leisure Park in Tucheng, which is close to the urban area of Tucheng. This area not only features a tranquil mountain lake but also connects to various hiking trails, including Wenbi Mountain, Jiangjun Ridge, Wucheng Mountain, and Taiji Ridge, making it a beloved retreat for Tucheng residents. The vicinity of Taiji Ridge is abundant in Paulownia flowers, and in recent years, Taiji Ridge Trail has become one of the routes for the "Tucheng May Paulownia Flower Festival." In early spring 2012, a section of the trail featuring a "Cherry Blossom Tunnel" with 101 steps near the peak gained media attention, leading the trail to become a newly popular cherry blossom viewing spot in New Taipei City. Walking the Taiji Ridge Trail not only provides flower viewing but also offers stunning views of Tucheng, Banqiao, and Xinzhung, extending to the Linkou Terrace and Guanyin Mountain, creating a visually pleasing and refreshing experience. Taiji Ridge sits on a plateau in the Wucheng Mountain range, where hiking enthusiasts have planted numerous cherry blossom trees, making it one of Tucheng's hidden cherry blossom spots. The trail entrance near the mountain lake parking lot takes about 30 minutes to walk, and there are also access points from No. 64 and 68 Shimen Road. At the ridge, a symbolic entrance with 101 steps represents health and wealth, making it a popular hiking route for nearby visitors.
