Sanzhi District Farmers' Association Introduction
In Sanzhi District, yam is in season from September to March of the following year. The yams produced by local farmers are not only healthy food stars in traditional markets but also favored by health-conscious consumers for their various cooking methods, including raw dips, stir-fry, soups, and hot pot ingredients. The yams cultivated in Sanzhi include the red-skinned white-fleshed variety from the Yangmingshan system and indigenous types. The Sanzhi Farmers' Association processes yams into powder, mixing them with sugar and brown sugar to create three flavors of yam powder drinks: black sesame, milk, and purple rice. These unique-tasting, healthy, and low-calorie yam powders are a great way to balance rich meals. The refined texture of yam powder, when brewed into a tea, is fragrant and enjoyable for all ages, allowing everyone to conveniently savor the pleasures of health and wellness at any time and place.
