Sanzhi District Farmers' Association Introduction
Sanzhi District's yam is produced in abundance from September to March each year. The yams cultivated by local farmers are not only a star in the traditional market for healthy foods but also enjoyed in various forms: eaten raw with dipping sauces, stir-fried, as a soup base, or in hot pot dishes, making it popular among health-conscious consumers. The yams grown in Sanzhi include the red-skinned, white-fleshed variety from the Yangmingshan Mountain range and indigenous species. The Sanzhi Farmers' Association processes the yams into powder, combining it with sugar and brown sugar to create three flavors of yam powder tea, including black sesame, milk, and purple rice. This unique, healthy, and low-calorie yam provides a refreshing balance to heavier dishes. Especially the finely textured yam powder, when brewed into tea, is fragrant and suitable for all ages, allowing everyone to easily enjoy the pleasures of health and wellness anywhere and anytime.
