Wufeng Farmers' Association Winery Introduction
Zai Niang, the legendary sake brewery of the Wufeng Farmers' Association in Taiwan, is the first charming sake cellar infused with Japanese aesthetic charm in Taiwan. It inherits the brewing spirit of "devoting one's heart and soul" from Japanese toji, using specially cultivated Yi-Chuan fragrant rice from Wufeng District and drawing on the clearest and sweetest Puli spring water. We warmly welcome you to experience the enchanting "sake cellar visit," where you can appreciate the most captivating brewing culture and charm of the Wufeng Farmers' Association Brewery. The sake is beautifully brewed with rice as the main ingredient, containing an incredible rice aroma! The rice used for brewing sake is a key determinant of sake quality. The Wufeng Farmers' Association has been assisting farmers in successfully cultivating "Taiwan Agricultural No. 71" fragrant rice since 2002, winning honors such as the National Champion Rice and one of the Top Ten Classic Good Rices. At that time, the President named this dreamlike rice "Yi-Chuan Fragrant Rice" in appreciation of Dr. Guo Yi-Chuan's contributions from the Agricultural Research Institute. To enhance the added value of Yi-Chuan Fragrant Rice and establish Wufeng as the hometown of fragrant rice, the association initiated a creative industry for fragrant rice culture and specially traveled to Japan for sake brewing experiments with fragrant rice, successfully brewing Taiwan's most dreamlike and premium sake; a natural gift nurtured by Wufeng's beautiful countryside. The Wufeng Farmers' Association Brewery steadfastly adheres to the intention of brewing good sake with good rice, which we proudly present to you.
