Jiahou Bicycle Path Introduction
The Jiahou Rice Aroma Bicycle Path is 21 kilometers long, connecting to the Houfeng Bicycle Path, Jiahou Line Bicycle Path - Wangyou Valley Branch, and Coastal Bicycle Path. It features unique seasonal landscapes in Wangyou Valley throughout the year, with the bicycle path's pavement decorated with local crops such as rice, rapeseed flowers planted during fallow periods, daisies, sunflowers, and cosmos flowers, allowing visitors to understand local characteristics. Additionally, a styled pavilion has been set up at the end of the dam top dedicated path for a resting and viewing area, perfect for taking pictures as if on a magazine cover, enhancing the attraction's appeal. The Liufen Road Branch is approximately 5.63 kilometers long, passing through the Waipu District, connecting to the Yuemei West Road Bicycle Path, with its endpoint linking to the main road of Jiahou, forming a circular road network. This area is a major wine grape production region in Taichung, with wineries along the route offering romantic dining experiences under the grapevines, allowing visitors to taste seasonal wines. In May, during the tung tree flower season, cycling through the beautiful scenery becomes a delightful experience, exploring the Tung Flower Path. The Wangyou Valley Branch is about 12.6 kilometers long, including a 2-kilometer long bicycle path on the dam top. Along the way, visitors can enjoy views of the riverbed and the beautiful scenery of Wangyou Valley. The endpoint connects to the Yuemei Tourist Sugar Factory, and the entire route is characterized by farmland and natural landscapes. The view atop the dam offers an unobstructed panorama of rural valley scenery. The two major attractions in Wangyou Valley are the magnificent flower sea and the stunning red evening glow, making it very suitable for cycling.
