Jhaohau Bicycle Path Introduction
The Jiahou Rice Fragrance Bicycle Path is 21 kilometers long, connecting to the Houfeng Bike Path, the Jiahou Line Bicycle Path - Worry-Free Valley Branch, and the Coastal Bicycle Path. It complements the unique scenery of Worry-Free Valley throughout the four seasons, with the bicycle path painted with local crops including rice, rapeseed flowers planted during fallow periods, small daisies, sunflowers, and cosmos, allowing visitors to understand local characteristics. Additionally, a uniquely designed pergola is set up at the end of the dedicated path for resting and viewing, making it a perfect spot for taking photos as if they are on a magazine cover, enhancing the fun of the attraction. The Liufen Road Branch is approximately 5.63 kilometers long, passing through the Waipu District, connecting to the Yuebai West Road Bicycle Path, and connecting back to the main Jiahou Road, forming a circular road network. It is a major wine grape production area in Taichung, with wineries along the route where visitors can experience romantic dining and wine tasting under the grapevines, sampling seasonal wines. In May, during the catalpa flower season, cyclists can enjoy the beautiful scenery while exploring the catalpa flower pathways. The Worry-Free Valley Branch is about 12.6 kilometers long, including a 2-kilometer-long bicycle path on the embankment. Along the way, visitors can share the path with the railway, enjoying the scenery of the riverbed road and the beautiful sights of Worry-Free Valley. It connects to the Yuebai Tourist Sugar Factory at its endpoint, with the entire route showcasing agricultural and natural landscapes. From the top of the Ziyao embankment, the valley view is unobstructed, allowing for a full view of rural valley scenery. The grand flower sea and the vibrant sunset are the two major attractions of Worry-Free Valley, making it very suitable for cycling.
