Baiyun Temple Introduction

The Baiyun Temple on the Baishalur Sand Dunes is the highest temple in the Qieding District. Established in 1939, Baiyun Temple is devoted to Shakyamuni Buddha and features a palace-style structure adorned with yellow glazed tiles and vermilion beams. Its towering and majestic appearance is complemented by a serene environment. Nestled against the sand dune area and facing the plains formed by the sedimentation of the ancient Xia Lake, the temple offers panoramic views that broaden one's horizons. The morning prayers and evening chants, along with the sound of the bell, are enough to help one forget the troubles of the worldly life.
