Taiwan Sugar Corporation Ice Cream Factory Introduction
The Rende Sugar Factory, established two years before the Republic of China, is located near the Bao'an Station. Its predecessor was the Che Lujian Sugar Factory and it belonged to the Taiwan Sugar Company during the Japanese colonial period. It features an old-fashioned Japanese architectural style. The historically significant Rende Sugar Factory was the most productive and efficient sugar factory during the Japanese rule in Taiwan. Although it does not have a prominent sign, it is definitely a well-known attraction among locals. When visiting, one should not miss out on the popular variety of popsicles, crispy ice creams, and red bean milk ice.
