Taiwan Sugar Corporation Ice Cream Factory Introduction
The Rende Sugar Factory, established two years before the Republic of China, is located near Baoan Station. Its predecessor was the Cheluqian Sugar Factory, belonging to the Taiwan Sugar Company during the Japanese colonial period, featuring a quaint Japanese architectural style. With its long history, the Rende Sugar Factory was arguably the most efficient sugar factory in Taiwan during the Japanese rule. Although it does not have a prominent sign, it is undoubtedly a well-known attraction among locals. Here, you must try the various popsicles, crispy ice creams, and red bean milk ice, and you can find both traditional flavors and new treats within the sugar factory.
