Cha Ting Old Trail Introduction
In the past, the only route for the indigenous people of Dasyuanshan to transport agricultural products to the urban area of Hengshan Township was through this path. Life in the remote mountainous region was difficult, and making a living was not easy. Locals have a Hakka folk song that goes: "If you have a younger sister, don't let her marry someone from Dasyuanshan; going up to the peak and carrying bundles down is a hard task," which reflects the hardships of traversing the ancient paths while carrying burdens.
